Tripping Over Cats

My cats seem to think that my feet have eyes and can see when they run in front of me when I am walking. This causes problems for both of us and usually I am the one that gets hurt. My feet do not have eyes and I do not walk with my head down, which maybe I should. I always taught to walk with your head up and your shoulders back, but I am rethinking this way of walking.

Jasmine is the worst. She has a habit of racing me to the bathroom. For some reason, this cat can be upstairs sleeping and know when I am head to the bathroom, which is downstairs. She upstairs and comes flying down the stairs and right in front of me. Now, she is not a quiet cat when she runs, but when she gets in the bathroom she turns around and walks right in front of me yes, she trips me.

This has been happening for so long that you would think that I would have padded walls in the bathroom by now to protect my body when I fly into the walls so I do not hurt her. I have never broken anything, but I have managed to cause myself some pain.

All this racing to the bathroom is so when I sit down on the toilet, I can rub her and pet her. If I don't she lets me know she is upset. She sticks her paw with her claws out on my leg and pulls at me to do what she wants. The end result is that she gets what she wants and I get little holes in my skin where the claws started going in until she got her way.

Yes, I must really love my cats. They get their way every time and they know how to do it.

The Life Of A Cat

Cats have the easy life. They can sit around all day. They can sleep all day. They never have to work and get all the food they want. Cats have the easy life. My cats have special times when they need attention from me. Lexie needs to walk on me in bed. She is the oldest and has just recently become very affectionate. Jasmine has an attitude problem and wants my attention in the morning when I get up and every time I light a cigarette. Hence, the tiny burn mark in the carpet. Bella is a whenever I think I need it cat. Bella usually comes at night or anytime you have food.

The cats need attention, but so do the dogs. Anytime the cat gets attention, little Jake needs attention. I swear it is worst than having kids. Jake goes so far as to chase the cats away and then leaves me sit all alone. That is only because he is terrorizing the cats. It sounds like he is killing them, but they are actually licking his butt. He never learns. He will chase those cats and then they turn on him and chase him. Many times he has come and hid by my feet so Bella, the big cat cannot get him.

Ah, my life is so full of excitement.

The scratching post is not so funny, but when the cats try to pull it over, it can be rather hilarious. The catnip toys are just another funny cat toy. Watching your cats, play with the catnip toys is so funny. Watching cats play and run around always makes you smile and laugh. Cats have a knack for making people laugh. Some of my favorite toys to watch the cats play with are shown below. These toys can be bought at any pet store or some retail stores. You will find that cats are happier as well when they have many toys to play with.
